In the first full year of our sustainability strategy, we’ve achieved many targets. We’ve also won the PwC Building Public Trust Award and achieved ‘silver’ in our first submission to the Business in the Community’s Corporate Responsibility Index.
Sustainability is not new to The Crown Estate – it is integral to our longestablished values of stewardship, integrity and commercialism. But in recognition of its importance to our business, we implemented a new sustainability strategy in 2009.
2011 has been another good year with some key targets being achieved; including significant advances in waste reduction, community investment and volunteering.
